Sophie Flood

Adviser: Health and Well-being


Sophie has worked in regional school improvement since 2017 when she was seconded as a leader of learning. In addition to her work with the health and well-being AoLE  Sophie supports with the NQT and equity and well-being programmes.

She began her career in education in 1996 and has taught across the primary age range. She was part of a senior leadership team  for 15 years in a rural Pembrokeshire school. During that time she led and co-ordinated physical education, PSE and ALN. She also delivered PESS sessions on food and fitness to other schools.

She has worked alongside UWTSD as a mentor for student teachers and has been the senior mentor within her school.
